Almost Island is pleased to announce the publication of its first book, Adil Jussawalla’s new collection of poems, Trying to Say Goodbye. In the future we will continue to publish one or two books a year, of poetry and prose.

The Almost Island Dialogues: Five, were held from March 10-13th, at the India International Centre in New Delhi. Participating this time were American poet Forrest Gander, British poet George Szirtes, Caribbean Indian poet Vahni Capildeo, the Indian fiction writer I. Allan Sealy, Hindi poet Giriraj Kiradoo and writer/translator Rahul Soni, both editors of the bilingual online journal Pratilipi, Tamil fiction writer Charu Nivedita, a group of Hindi prose writers who form the Cybermohalla Collective from Delhi, poet Vivek Narayanan and prose writer Sharmistha Mohanty.
