Vivek Narayanan is Consulting Editor of Almost Island. His first book of poems, Universal Beach, appeared in 2006 and is available online at Oxford Bookstore. He works at Sarai-CSDS and, in addition to his role at Almost Island, is also an Associate Editor at the Boston-based poetry annual, Fulcrum. Some of his poems can be found online at Tehelka, Pratilipi, Agni and Open Space India, and offline in recent anthologies like 60 Indian Poets (Penguin India), The Bloodaxe Book of Contemporary Indian Poetry (Bloodaxe, UK), Reasons for Belonging: Fourteen Contemporary Indian Poets (Penguin India) and Language for a New Century: Contemporary Poetry from the Middle East, Asia, and Beyond (W.W.
